Why sign my youth up for camp?

Our photography camp teaches youth the basics of photography — composition, lighting, storytelling — all while they explore the natural world.

Give your child the gift of creativity and self-expression with our Kids Photography Camp, designed for children aged 7 and above! This 4-day camp in July will spark their imagination and teach them essential photography concepts in a fun and engaging environment.

Two boys are lying on the ground taking photos of a small dinosaur toy, while a third boy stands nearby, looking at his phone. The scene is under a sheltered picnic area with outdoor trees and grass visible in the background.

Each class will be at Grant County Park, each day will include:

  • Review Sessions: Reinforce lessons from the previous day.

  • Interactive Instruction: Learn new skills and techniques.

  • Hands-On Practice: Spend time exploring and capturing their surroundings through the lens.

Participants will need a camera—any type will do! If your child doesn’t have one, don’t worry—organizers may be able to provide one.

Let’s nurture their creativity and teach them the art of storytelling through photography!

PRE-REGISTRATION is REQUIRED

Two young boys are engaged in a science experiment outdoors under a covered pavilion. One boy is lying on the ground aiming a camera at small propane lanterns and a toy dinosaur, with a small red light shining on the objects. The other boy is standing and looking at his phone. The third boy is lying on his stomach next to a camera on a tripod, taking a picture or video of the scene.

This hands-on course is designed to inspire creativity, teach valuable skills, and introduce children to the wonderful world of photography. It’s an incredible opportunity for them to explore their artistic side while learning from a professional. Watching young minds light up as they master this craft is truly rewarding, and I can’t wait to share my passion with them. Let’s capture their potential—one snapshot at a time!
